Chip Ahoy

Posted by on Aug 24, 2017 in Uncategorized

Tour Guide Chip Ahoy Chip Ahoy loves sports and spending time on his boat. He is not a big fan of vegetables and fruit, and does not believe they should never ever be on pizza. Chip has lived his whole life in Seattle (so far), but has traveled all over the world. Particular favorites? Australia, New Zealand, and Boston. If he couldn’t live in Seattle, he’d live in Boston. His two favorite baseball teams are the Red Sox and whoever is playing the Yankees. His secret desire is to be The Admiral… of ANYTHING. As you can imagine, being a tour guide at Ride the Ducks is a ton of fun and you get to listen to a lot of great music. Our Quackmasters of Fun have compiled a Spotify playlist of some of their favorite songs that you might hear on your Duck Tour.   Back to Tour...

In a previous life, Captain Beau was a combat helicopter pilot, (Go, NAVY!) but his real ambition is to have his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. As you can imagine, being a tour guide at Ride the Ducks is a ton of fun and you get to listen to a lot of great music. Our Quackmasters of Fun have compiled a Spotify playlist of some of their favorite songs that you might hear on your Duck Tour.   Keep up with Beau’s latest adventures in Duck Diaries: Volume I! Bjorn Toorun

Captain Bjorn Toorun Captain Bjorn Toorun is infamously known for both his hand-crafted precision propeller-beanies and his booming laugh, but only one of them will scare the neighborhood dogs from his yard. He loves anything to do with water: boating, crabbing, swimming, fishing, whale watching, wakeboarding, boogie-boarding, skim-boarding, and even sleepboarding. He has been to more weddings than you (Yes, you) as a professional photographer, loves volleyball, snowboarding, (how many ‘boards’ does he have, anyway?) and roller disco. Although he is rarely in a bad mood, he confesses that one thing will set him over the edge – running out of tartar sauce. As you can imagine, being a tour guide at Ride the Ducks is a ton of fun and you get to listen to a lot of great music. Our Quackmasters of Fun have compiled a Spotify playlist of some of their favorite songs that you might hear on your Duck Tour.   Back to Tour...

Ben D. Rulz

Posted by on Aug 24, 2017 in Uncategorized

Captain Ben D. Rulz As the son of a son of a sailor, Captain Ben D. Rulz has always looked toward the sea when seeking adventure. A water lover from the beginning, he was practically born with webbed feet; making it easy for him to obtain his SCUBA certification by the age of 13. After spending a year in Okinawa courtesy of the United States Marine Corps, it has been his life’s journey to make it back someday, at least to visit if not to settle permanently. While searching for the boat that will carry him back out across the high seas, this San Francisco Bay Area native heard the whale song of the Pacific Northwest and migrated north to Seattle almost three years ago. Until he sails away to more exotic locales, Captain Ben is more than happy to carry folks out onto Lake Union, sharing his love of the water on a much smaller scale. As you can imagine, being a tour guide at Ride the Ducks is a ton of fun and you get to listen to a lot of great music. Our Quackmasters of Fun have compiled a Spotify playlist of some of their favorite songs that you might hear on your Duck Tour.  ...

Clem Chowder

Posted by on Aug 24, 2017 in Uncategorized

Captain Clem Chowder Having reached a crossroads in 2009 after a long career running a construction company, Captain Clem Chowder left the decision-making process for his next job in the hands of his wife, Mrs. Chowder. She combed the classifieds, and presented exactly two options to Clem. The first ad was for a job that would require him to walk up to 20 miles a day for the US Forest Service on behalf of trail maintenance and something described as “Bear Patrol/Decoy.” Nope. The very next job posting simply asked ,”Do you like people? Are you a fun person to be around? Do you want to drive a big metal box with wheels into the lake?” This time, the answers were definitely, “Yes, YES, and YES!” Since Captain Clem Chowder joined us at Ride the Ducks of Seattle, he has taken tons of people on countless trips through the city and on the lake having copious amounts of fun talking about history and telling bad jokes (or is that talking about jokes, and telling bad history?). Either way, when you meet Clem for the first time he will say, “Hello very much” and take you on a great ride! As you can imagine, being a tour guide at Ride...
