2016 Bite of Seattle

Posted by on Jul 15, 2016 in Blog

Bite of Seattle is this weekend. It’s one of our favorite summer festivals because “You can’t spell Seattle without ‘eat’!” We’re drooling just thinking about our next meal. From the Krispy Kreme birthday cake to the deep-fried PB&J, as well as American classics to twists on all kinds of ethnic dishes, you won’t leave the Bite of Seattle hungry. For three days, our staff comes back from their breaks with some of the most amazing cuisine Seattle has to offer. The smells, the eats, all the things to do – it’s all at the Seattle Center this weekend, right across from Ride the Ducks’ Seattle Center location. We are big fans of the food scene here in Seattle and you should be too. If you can’t make it for “The Bite,” check out the foodie scene on a Duck Tour! Pike Place Market On the Duck Tour, you’ll see the iconic Pike Place Market – a mecca of local with Washington’s freshest fruit, seafood and delectable treats. Swing by Chukkar Cherries and then go see the fishmongers throw salmon at Pike Place Fish. Tom Douglas You’ll also go by Tom Douglas‘s first restaurant: Dahlia Lounge. Tom is our local celebrity chef in Seattle and has been honored by the...

Things to Do this Summer in Seattle

It’s Independence Day and the kick-off to Seattle’s amazing summer weather. For the next three months, there is no place more beautiful than Seattle and we hope that you come visit and explore the city we call home. When you do visit Seattle, here are some of our favorite things to do: 1. Biased? Maybe! But the Seattle Duck Tour is one of the best ways to get to know Seattle when you first arrive. Laugh and learn as the Duck dances through the streets of Seattle and splashes into Lake Union. 2. “Hangry” is no way to enjoy your vacation. Skip breakfast and visit our friends at Savor Seattle for a full tummy of Seattle’s best local fare. Our fave? The classic Pike Place Market tour. 3. Speaking of Pike Place Market… Seattle’s been going farm to table since 1907 and a visit to Seattle is incomplete without a trip to America’s longest running farmer’s market. Buy some fresh flowers for your hotel room, eat the delicious Chukar Cherries and ship the freshest seafood home from the fishmongers at Pike Place Fish Market. 4. MOHAI’s summer exhibit of Toys of the 50s, 60s and 70s started this weekend. Let your imagination run wild as you learn and play...
