Captain Dan Tennille Comments Off on Captain Dan Tennille

Captain Dan Tennille

A transplant from Connecticut almost 20 years ago, Captain Tennille now considers Seattle ‘home,’ and asks anyone visiting to “Please keep your feet off the furniture. Do you do that in your home?” When not driving a Duck, Dan’s vehicular interests run a little smaller: he’s into classic VWs. Dan (totally) came of age in the best decade ever – the 1980s! He says he’d go back in a heartbeat, “If I could turn back time, if I could find a way…” It was in the 80s he learned some valuable lessons: You have to fight for your right to party, love will keep us together, every rose has its thorn, and finally – no matter what – don’t stop believing. As you can imagine, being a tour guide at Ride the Ducks is a ton of fun and you get to listen to a lot of great music. Our Quackmasters of Fun have compiled a Spotify playlist of some of their favorite songs that you might hear on your Duck Tour. If you ride with Captain Dan Tennille, be sure to request Whip It! A Brand New Website!

Posted by on Apr 7, 2014 in Blog

We are thrilled to announce the unveiling of our brand new website! After sixteen months of hard work, we finally ditched our outdated website for an amazing new site! We couldn’t have done it without our unbelievably talented partners at Kre8tive Monkey and we hope you love our new site as much as we do. Some of our favorite new features include a tour map, complete information on all of our group packages and location pages to help you decide whether you should depart from Westlake Center or Seattle Center! There’s also a photo gallery, the story of Ride the Ducks, and bios for some of our Wacky Captains! Who’s your favorite? Captain Clem Chower? Captain Bjorn Toorun? Our old website will always hold a special place in our heart and it served us well for the last 17 years. We can’t tell you the number of times we would be making a reservation and hear our website “Quack! Quack!” in the background. If you didn’t have a chance to see our old site, here’s a peek.  Really, how can you not love Flash videos, like this? We hope you take some time to poke around a learn more about Ride the Ducks and our tours. Please share any...
