Meet Captain Braveliver—quacking with us since 2013! He recently visited the incredible Chihuly Garden and Glass, which is just a stone’s throw away from Ride the Ducks of Seattle! We don’t actually recommend throwing a stone at a glass art exhibit, though… Anyways, read about his experience below! Chihuly Garden and Glass I’ve been to the stunning exhibit that is Dale Chihuly’s Garden and Glass three times. The first was right after they opened in 2012—everyone was oohing and aahing, asking each other “Isn’t that incredible?” It really was! The second time was when my family visited to celebrate our parent’s 50th Anniversary. I treated them + a duckload of friends to a party on a Duck out on beautiful Lake Union. It...

Meet Ellie Kopter. She’s always up for an adventure! This month Ellie took her family and friends out on Lake Union–first on a Duck, then on an Electric Boat! Check out how much fun they had cruisin’ the lake! Electric Boat Ride This past weekend, I was super excited to have my dad and sister visiting from a far away land called Oregon! Naturally, we had to do a Duck tour! After they experienced Lake Union #onaduck, they couldn’t wait to explore the lake even more! What better way than with The Electric Boat Company?! We snagged my husband and our friend, loaded up our coolers with cold drinks and our picnic baskets with delicious treats. Off we went! It’s easy to drive...

Meet Hugh Manatee. He loves exploring everything Seattle has to offer any chance he gets! This time Hugh visited the Museum of Pop Culture, the colorful and wacky-shaped building right across the street from Ride the Ducks! Check out what he saw! Museum of Pop Culture   Even on my days off from running tours at Ride the Ducks, I am still a dedicated tourist myself. With a few extra hours of sleep, I am dressed and out the door! Today’s adventure is the Museum of Pop Culture, or MoPop for short, formally known as the Experience Music Project. A name change and a fresh facelift, this multi-level, multi-sensory experience hits you over the head right when you walk in. I would enter...

Meet Dot S’Hilarious—an amazing addition to the Ride the Ducks family this season! She took a day trip with her husband to downtown Tacoma (about 35 miles South of Seattle) where the 2017 Festival of Sail was in full swing. She had a quack-tastic time…for one particular reason. Keep reading to find out! Tacoma’s Festival of Sail  This June, Mr. S’Hilarious and I headed to Tacoma for the 2017 Festival of Sail. The festival spanned one mile of the Thea Foss Waterway, including the spectacular outdoor exhibits of the Museum of Glass and the Thea Foss Seaport Museum—which was free to enter for the entirety of the festival! We were able to view ships of all kinds-sailboats, schooners, mast ships, and even a...

Meet Captain Beau Dacious—delivering smiles to guests at Ride the Ducks for 8 seasons! He recently visited Pier 57 on the Seattle Waterfront PIER 57: Seattle Great Wheel and Wings Over Washington  After walking along the Waterfront in Downtown Seattle, I was ready to soar above it! Two of the newest attractions that reside on the bustling Waterfront are the Seattle Great Wheel and Wings Over Washington. Tickets to both attractions can be bought at the same kiosk and since they’re located right next to each other, it made for an easy one-two punch! First up, was the 175 ft. Great Wheel—which by the way makes it the tallest Ferris Wheel on the West Coast! Thankfully, the line was short! I could tell...
