Hot Off the Press! Ride the Ducks is thrilled to announce year-round land and water tours! Amphibious tours will depart daily from 5th Avenue & Broad Street, across from the Space Needle 362 days per year. (Ride the Ducks is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.) Tours currently depart from 11am to 3pm. Ride the Ducks amphibious tours show both tourists and local Seattle-ites a unique look at Seattle, complete with jokes, historical information, group participation and a breath-taking view of the skyline from Lake Union. Great for groups and families, it’s a memorable event most people are not soon to forget. After all, you haven’t seen Seattle until you’ve seen it from a Duck! “Here in Seattle, there are a lot of sunny or overcast days when it’s not raining that are fantastic for sightseeing! We added blankets on board the Ducks a few years ago and it’s made a big difference in how comfortable our guests are. Plus, the windows roll up, so it’s surprisingly warm,” says Brian Tracey, President/CEO of Ride the Ducks of Seattle. During the summer months, tours operate from two locations: 5th Avenue and Broad Street, as well as Westlake Center at 4th Avenue & Pine Street in the heart of...

‘Twas Saturday after Thanksgiving

Posted by on Nov 25, 2012 in Uncategorized

‘Twas Saturday after Thanksgiving and all through the shop, Our Elves were quite busy and working non-stop.Red Quackers were hung round our necks with care,Knowing that Holiday Duck Tours soon would be there. While the office pups were nestled all snug in their beds,Visions of synchronized dance moves played in our heads. Our GM in her kerchief and our Captains in their capsWere all full of energy and no one took naps. And then out on the roads, there arose such a clatter,I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.Away to the kiosk I flew like a flash,Turned on the computer and threw up the sash. The Macy’s star shown brightly on Seattle’s downtown, And gave the lustre of mid-day to those bustling around. Then what to my wondering eyes should appear,Right next to Starbucks: six Duck mobiles! At each helm was a Captain, such lively lads,I knew in a moment, there was fun to be had!More rapid than eagles the Ducks how they came,And they danced and they boogied,  I called the Captains by name! “Now Watson D’ Boxx and Captain Snow Dayshush! Oh, Phillipe Navidad ! Oh, Yukon Cornelius! Oh, Captain Redd Sledd and Captain Gregg Nogg! Oh, Captain Kris Krinkle and Santana Claus!” On a...

Posted by on Nov 8, 2012 in Uncategorized

For some companies, five years with the organization can mean a pin, plaque or sometimes just a nice pat on the back. Not at Ride the Ducks! We memorialize our 5-year veterans with a personal bobblehead! Last month, three Captains, two operational staff and one mechanic celebrated 5+ seasons with us at the Ride the Ducks of Seattle! We truly value their commitment to both us and our guests for making Ride the Ducks a great place to be! Thank you!...
