Meet Ellie Kopter. She’s always up for an adventure! This month Ellie took her family and friends out on Lake Union–first on a Duck, then on an Electric Boat! Check out how much fun they had cruisin’ the lake!
Electric Boat Ride
This past weekend, I was super excited to have my dad and sister visiting from a far away land called Oregon! Naturally, we had to do a Duck tour! After they experienced Lake Union #onaduck, they couldn’t wait to explore the lake even more! What better way than with The Electric Boat Company?! We snagged my husband and our friend, loaded up our coolers with cold drinks and our picnic baskets with delicious treats. Off we went!
It’s easy to drive an Electric Boat and you don’t even need a Captain’s license to drive one! All they ask is that the driver is at least 25 years of age. The employee who helped get us oriented said the boat handles similarly to a golf cart, and I agree! It took a little getting used to, but we were soon cruising around Lake Union! My dad took to it like a duck to water (pun intended)! Each Electric Boat holds up to ten people. With just five of us we had more than enough space to stretch out.
The Electric Boat is equipped with cup holders, a table for your picnic feast, a map of where you can go and a sound system!
We put on our favorite tunes, tucked into a delicious meal and cruised around the lake for two full hours. Of course, we had to wave hello to all our Duck friends on the lake when we passed by!
We had an absolute blast! My dad called it one of the best times he’s had in his entire life. I love being out on the lake every day #onaduck and it was so much fun to get a new perspective. I will definitely be going out again soon, and I highly recommend you try it too!
The whole Kopter family gives it one big thumbs up!
