PNB – NUTCRACKER
“George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker promises the magic that makes the holidays.
Tchaikovsky’s cherished score played live by the PNB Orchestra, gorgeous scenery and costumes by celebrated author and illustrator Ian Falconer (Olivia the Pig), brilliant dancing by PNB’s incredible dancers, a snowfall every performance, and Seattle Center’s McCaw Hall all dressed up for the holidays.”

SAM LIGHTS: A Winter Evening of Art, Music & Lights
“Get that winter glow with an evening stroll through the Olympic Sculpture Park. Experience the wonder of the sculptures in the park illuminated by luminaria. Make art, listen to music, sip a hot drink, grab a sweet bite, and take in the sights at SAM Lights. Come dressed in your best light-inspired ensemble and become a part of the night!”

SNOW SHOWS at PACIFIC PLACE
Monday-Saturday: 6PM And 7PM

Let the magic float down around you at Pacific Place Shopping Center! Two times each night, snow flurries take place in the atrium (excluding Christmas). These flurries last about five minutes and if you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of Santa Claus!

“Benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. As a tribute to the city, this year’s theme is 25 Years of Cheer: A Celebration of Seattle. The hotel invites visitors to stroll through Seattle’s cobblestone past and glimpse into its future, reflecting on what makes the city special. Seattle’s top architecture firms, master builders and Sheraton Seattle culinary teams have come together to rediscover the city’s historic past and imagine the future, including its waterfront. From the looming skyscrapers and underground tunnels, to the Seattle Great Wheel and the Space Needle that symbolize our city today, Seattle has a rich history of incredible structures. “This year, the Sheraton Seattle’s Gingerbread Village will be located across the street from the Sheraton at the City Centre building to accommodate the visually striking display. With the Sheraton’s Gingerbread Village on display across the street, for the first time, the public will be able to view part of the display through windows on Fifth and Sixth Avenues.”

Spin into the holidays on the magical Carousel in Westlake Park! Each ride benefits Treehouse, a nonprofit that provides support for youth in the foster care system to pursue their dreams.

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS
For the month of December at The Children’s Museum, explore a variety of winter celebrations and festivals that take place around the world. This provides children and their families with hands-on multi-cultural experiences. FULL SCHEDULE HERE!

SANTACON
Saturday, December 16th – 12 noon
Calling all Santa hat owners! It’s the time of year for cheer and beer at SantaCon! This annual mass gathering of folks dressed in Santa Claus costumes is sure to put you in the holiday spirit–and it happens right here in Seattle!

CHRISTMAS SHIPS
November 24 – December 23, 2017
“The Argosy Cruises Christmas Ship Festival is a ship-to-shore holiday celebration that has been a Northwest tradition since 1949. The Spirit of Seattle, the Official Christmas Ship, is decorated with hundreds of shimmery white lights and sails to different Puget Sound waterfront communities – around 65 in all. Choirs on board the Christmas Ship perform to guests aboard as well as to our Follow Boats and to those communities gathered on shore.” FULL SCHEDULE HERE!

WILDLIGHTS

Experience the magic that is WildLights! Enjoy over 500,000 twinkling lights that decorate the zoo! You can also grab a bite to eat, warm up with a hot drink, see REAL reindeer, and listen to carolers! Closed Dec. 24 & 25.

“Put on your PJs and enjoy live music from folk duo Josh & Chava, a Hanukkah story from PJ Library, food truck goodies from Napkin Friends and Delfino’s Pizza, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, crafting, an olive oil press with Chabad, a menorah lighting and Havdalah, and much more. Admission is free with a pajama donation—they’re looking for new and gently used sets for the foster program Amara.”
