Spring is Coming!

March 20th marks the first day of spring! Ride the Ducks is getting excited because spring always brings a flurry of activity and lots of fun things to do! Here are some highlights of things to do around Seattle this spring!

Mariner’s Games
Who wouldn’t go for a ballpark hotdog and a big foam finger?! The Mariner’s season kicks off on April 1 against the Oakland A’s! You can start following the M’s race to the pennant at Cactus League – training games started Feb 22!

Cherry Blossom Festival
Dive into the culture of Japan during this colorful feast for your senses. There will be Japanese cuisine, visual arts and music, interactive activities, and a cherry tree planting ceremony. You can join in the celebration at the Seattle Center April 26-28.

Moisture Festival
Wow! This comedy/varietè extravaganza will entertain you with aerial acts, jugglers, comedy, musical acts, acrobats, clowns, tap dancers, and bubble acts! The performances will be March 21-April 14 for kids of all ages!

Tulip Festival
Get into the true spirit of spring with… Tulips! Enjoy hundreds of acres of fragrant beauty while you drive through the tulip fields. Plus, you won’t want to miss the many events and activities featured in nearby Mt. Vernon! The fun lasts throughout the month of April !Don’t forget your festival map!

Seattle International Film Festival
Enjoy the action with the largest and most highly attended film festival in the US! SIFF celebrates the art of cinema with over 250 feature films and 150 short films. The drama takes place May 16-June 9.

Folklife Festival
As spring heads out and summer strolls in, it’s time for the Folklife Festival! This celebration of food, culture, art, music, and crafts is the perfect way to usher in the summer on Memorial Day weekend.
