WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DUCK A and DUCK B?:
During the summer, Ride the Ducks has up to four tours departing every half hour from our 5th Avenue and Broad location. Each Duck is labeled A, B, C or D for ease of boarding. If your ticket says, Duck A, you'll be in the Duck A line for boarding! Please remember that Duck A and Duck B offer the same land and water tour but on different vehicles. If your friends are on Duck A and you're on Duck B, you will depart at the same time, but will be on different Ducks.
IS THERE A BATHROOM ONBOARD THE DUCK?:
Unfortunately, there are no bathroom facilities onboard the Duck. The Duck tour is a continuous tour lasting for 90 minutes.
CAN SMALL CHILDREN RIDE THE DUCKS?:
Yes! Of course! Ride the Ducks is great fun for children of all ages as well as the young at heart! Unfortunately, strollers cannot be taken onboard, but we'd be happy to store it for the duration of your tour. Because the inside of the Duck is similar to the inside of a school bus and there are no seatbelts, car seats are also not required. We recommend parents hold small children in their lap. Remember, everyone needs a ticket to board, so don't forget to mention your little ones under two years of age for a free ticket!
Ride the Ducks of Seattle is not responsible for items left in our ticketbooth for the duration of the tour.
WHAT IF IT'S RAINING?:
Ride the Ducks departs rain or shine throughout the year! If it's raining, you won't get wet! The Ducks are covered and there are windows that we can roll down in case of a Seattle downpour! We recommend that you dress as though you'll be outside for the duration of the tour as it can get a little chilly on the water during the fall and winter!
ARE THE DUCKS COAST GUARD-CERTIFIED?:
Yes! Each year all our vessels are thoroughly inspected by the United States Coast Guard and issued a Certificate of Inspection. We are required by law to keep lifevests onboard for all our guests, as well as emergency equipment in case of an emergency. Never once, in our more than ten years of business, has a passenger ever been required to don their lifevest. Plus, all our Captains are Coast Guard-certified with at least a 25-ton Master's license.
